Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Tender, Sales & Design Engineer who will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of tendering, technical design, BOQ preparation, and sales coordination for Fire Fighting Systems such as Hydrant, Sprinkler, Pump Room, and Gas Suppression Systems. This role plays a crucial part in driving project wins and ensuring technical accuracy in every proposal.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender Management
- Study tender documents (commercial & technical), drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Prepare comprehensive techno-commercial proposals and submissions.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to gather necessary documents and quotations.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and prepare compliance statements.
- Sales & Business Development
- Identify and engage with potential clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Prepare and present quotations, technical offers, and follow-ups for order closures.
- Support the sales team with technical inputs and client queries.
- Design & Engineering
- Prepare schematic diagrams, layout drawings, and system designs for Fire Fighting Systems.
- Ensure compliance with IS codes, NBC, NFPA, and relevant standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams for design validation and project execution.
- BOQ & Estimation
- Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates.
- Conduct quantity take-offs from architectural and MEP drawings.
- Optimize designs for cost-effective solutions without compromising safety.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical / Fire / Safety / Electrical Engineering.
- 1–5 years of experience in Fire Fighting System tenders, sales, and design.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA, NBC, TAC, IS codes and fire safety standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and BOQ estimation software.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines.
